At the end of 2018, long-standing customers rated egeplast highly and very highly for product quality and range in a customer satisfaction survey. In particular, delivery performance has since been significantly improved once again thanks to helpful customer
feedback. egeplast stands for future-proofed pipe systems for efficient infrastructure expansion. Quality, costs, delivery reliability and flexibility
must be continuously and sustainably optimised to achieve this. Only through customer feedback can products and services relating to the product portfolio be improved. At the end of 2018, 183 construction companies, engineering firms, distributors and utility companies were therefore interviewed in a customer satisfaction analysis about product quality, range, delivery times, order processing and communication. Product quality 106 customers, i.e. just under 60% of respondents, rated product quality as “very good”, 51 as “good”. This high product quality is achieved with a state-of-the-art machine park and the necessary production equipment, combined with strict quality control.
egeplast’s core competence lies in plastic pipes for trenchless installation. Innovative future-proofed pipe systems with extended functionality, for example for permanent monitoring or equipped with a permeation barrier or detection layers, complement the range. egeplast covers the entire underground infrastructure and offers its customers complete, precisely fitting pipe systems from a single source for every construction project, and in a wide variety of variants, colours and lengths. 95 respondents rated the range as “very good” and 69 as “good”. Delivery times 83 respondents rated egeplast’s delivery performance as “very good” or “good”. To further optimise delivery performance and shorten delivery times, improvements have been implemented in production and logistics. Among other things, by reducing product changeovers in production and improving item selection for the warehouse, egeplast
has now improved delivery performance. To achieve better availability of standard goods, new manufacturing strategies have been developed. In future, fixed and systematically recurring production slots will be planned, especially for “best-sellers” and standard items. The resulting reduction in complexity leads to shorter set-up and changeover times, which in turn enables better utilisation of capacity for manufacturing project-specific goods and, accordingly, significantly shorter response and delivery times. As a result, the availability of standard stock items has been significantly improved this year.
