Quality at egeplast – generated from the very beginning

At egeplast, quality is the basis of all actions – from the selection of raw materials to the strictest testing and internationally recognised certifications. Of course, our ambition does not end with the product. Through integrated management systems and a consistent commitment to sustainability, we ensure that we fulfil our responsibility to customers, employees, the environment and society.

Quality that builds trust

From tested raw materials to international certification

Quality is the result of well thought-out processes. That is why egeplast works hand in hand with internal and external stakeholders to continuously improve quality in processes, services and products. The longevity of the products, some of which last over 100 years, and the possibility of recycling polyethylene pipes characterise the product life cycle through to dismantling.

The raw materials we use are selected for specific applications and are, among others, listed with the PE100+ Association or in Germany with the KRV – Kunststoffrohrverband e.V. in Hamm and monitored by third parties. Every delivery is checked by egeplast Quality Assurance.

egeplast has its own independent quality assurance system with a laboratory area of approx. 285 m² and extensive laboratory equipment for testing in accordance with current national and international product standards as well as customer specifications. In addition, production-accompanying tests are carried out by the workers and automatic monitoring systems during production.

Integrated Management Systems

Quality Management

Quality management at egeplast has been certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001 since 1997. The scope is the development, production and sales of plastic pipe systems for modern applications and installation techniques.

Environmental Management

Since 2009, the environmental management system has also been certified according to DIN EN ISO 14001. Since then, both the conscious and careful use of resources and potential emissions into air, water, and soil have been reviewed, and environmental performance and compliance with legal regulations are evaluated. The product life cycle is also mapped, among other things, in our Environmental Product Declarations (EPD).

Energy Management

Based on the measurements of energy sources used within the scope of environmental management, certification of energy management according to DIN EN ISO 50001 was quickly established in 2012. Using suitable measuring points and software, (significant) consumers are monitored, and energy saving potentials are identified.

Further Management Systems

Further management systems with a High Level Structure are under development, such as DIN EN ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety and DIN EN ISO 27001 Information Security Management Systems.

The processes are modeled and updated in BPMN 2.0.
