The energy transition is picking up speed – we are making our contribution!
“New main artery of the energy transition”: The A-North power line will bring wind energy from the North Sea to North Rhine-Westphalia and thus provide two gigawatts of #transmission capacity from 2027. The approximately 300 km long line will be laid as an underground cable.
After years of trusting cooperation with the grid operator Amprion GmbH GmbH and the construction companies involved in the IPA A Nord-ARGE, the ARGE commissioned egeplast as the main supplier on Friday. We would like to thank ARGE for the trust they have placed in us and the opportunity to be involved in this project, which is very important for the energy transition!
The power cables of the new power line will be protected by egeplast Power Protect pipes. The range of products includes power pipes from OD 250 to OD 450 mm as well as fittings. The investment in a high-performance line for the production of Power Protect pipes made two years ago and the joint reference projects were the reasons for ARGE to commission us with this forward-looking project.
On 23 October, the official groundbreaking ceremony took place in Meppen with the participation of the Federal Minister of Economics, Robert Habeck. We are looking forward to an exciting #project and will be reporting!
An important topic that rightly receives a lot of media attention.
