egeplast customers benefit from increased flexibility and capacity in production – as this enables shorter-term product availability while simultaneously expanding the product portfolio. Thanks to ImPROVe, customer requirements can be met even better in the future, and delivery capability can be further increased.
ImPROVe activities gained momentum last year, and egeplast has now trained 42 employees as Lean Advisors or Lean Engineers. This has led to egeplast being able to increase production flexibility in initial workshops for improving work processes and SMED setup time optimization.
Short-term Product Availability
egeplast will not rest on its laurels. This year, the focus is on increasing flexibility for short-term product availability. Further measures for employee qualification and workshops are planned for 2022, as are basic training sessions for all egeplast employees.
Tutorials will compile content from the training program to clarify egeplast work principles for new employees at any time.
Customer Requirements at the Core
The expansion of the egeplast product portfolio and planned capacity increases also require further optimization of production. Customer requirements and delivery capability are important factors for egeplast that are central to ImPROVe.
egeplast aims to avoid supply bottlenecks for raw materials through optimal Supply Chain Planning to noticeably reduce impacts on customers.
