When building a 19 bar biogas line in Fakenham (England), National Grid opted for the HexelOne^®-high-pressure pipe system in the SLM DCT execution – in coiled bundles in order to comply with the agreed 3 weeks civil engineering time. For this pilot project egeplast also executed the welding service under difficult conditions.

The HexelOne^® SLM DCT is a self-reinforced high-pressure pipe made of PE that can also be installed using trenchless technology. The quality assurance test is integrated since conductor strips enable a test of the pipe system right after installation. The buried pipe can also be localised permanently.
