Polyethylene protective pipe for high voltage and extra high voltage cable up to 380 KV

egeplast has developed the Macroduct High-T protective pipe to withstand high thermal loads for long periods..

The pipe, which has been certified by TÜV and which has a UV-stabilised surface, can be used for a much longer period at a raised temperature load compared to PE pipes in accordance with DIN 8074.  This is why it is suitable for high voltage and extra high voltage cable up to 380 KV.  Due to a special PE-HD material, the protective pipe has enhanced heat stability and so permits applications at higher temperatures of more than 70° C. ege≡com^® Macroduct High-T pipes can be installed using the trenchless method.  For example, the pipes can be used to extend the network of high and extra high voltage cables in civil engineering
