The HexelOne® high-pressure pipe system has received the DVGW certificate for gas and potable water applications.
This enables the certified use of plastic pipes in high-pressure applications, thereby transferring two cost-saving potentials from the low-pressure sector to high-pressure applications: corrosion resistance eliminates the need for cathodic corrosion protection, and it allows the use of modern installation techniques to shorten construction time and significantly reduce construction costs.
The reinforcement of the egeplast HexelOne® enables new areas of application with permissible operating pressures of 30 bar for water and 16 bar for gas, thus exceeding the applications previously covered by PE pipes. Due to its reinforcement layer made of high-strength PE tape, HexelOne® has twice the strength compared to solid-wall pipes made of PE 100. Thanks to its protective jacket and inner layer of PE 100-RC, it can be installed trenchlessly. The DVGW certificate for potable water covers the dimension range from d 90 mm to d 125 mm. HexelOne® gas pipes are also certified up to d 160 mm.

HexelOne® SLM
The egeplast HexelOne® SLM pipe is a self-reinforced high-pressure pipe, a monocomposite made solely from polyethylene.
This reinforcement enables new areas of application in the “raised pressure” range, i.e., operating pressures above the applications previously covered by PE pipes.
The reason: It exhibits twice the strength compared to previous PE pipes.
