At IFAT, egeplast presents monitored pipe systems for critical infrastructure protection. The focus is on two product innovations, highlights from the egeFit® fitting program, and intelligent protective pipes for energy network expansion – with a prize draw and daily live presentations.
At the exhibition booth, visitors can experience monitored pipe systems and additional product innovations firsthand. The focus is on the market launch of the new egeplast egeSmart:Data Pipes. The patented pipe system for water and gas supply marks a technological development step toward digital monitoring of pipeline networks. Grid operators and planning offices can fulfill their legal obligation for risk management with this smart pipe system: risks are identified early and supply security is sustainably supported – resilient networks thanks to digital monitoring with egeplast egeSmart:Data.
Using an integrated fiber optic cable, the new technology enables permanent leakage monitoring of pipelines up to 16 km long with just one monitoring station. Additionally, the system allows measurement of media temperature along the pipeline as well as damage location accurate to the meter – without necessary additional work, even during rehabilitation measures such as relining old pipes or new construction under sealed surfaces. Furthermore, data and control signals can be transmitted, for example to automated fittings along the pipeline or to a cloud.
Additional monitored pipe systems such as egeSmart:Integrity DCS and egeSmart:Leak Control 3L can be experienced directly at the booth. Through the egeFit® fitting program, customers receive everything from a single source at egeplast.
Another highlight is the newly developed egeplast Green Gas Pipes: Their additional permeation barrier layer ensures the reduction of hydrogen and methane emissions.
For the expansion of energy networks, egeplast demonstrates the entire range of power and energy cable protection with the egeplast Power Protect System – including demanding applications in the extra-high voltage range.
Live presentations in German and English take place twice daily directly at the booth, introducing the new egeSmart:Data Pipe as well as the Green Gas Pipes. Registration is not required. Additionally, a short prize draw invites participation: attractive prizes await in the digital memory game.
