At IFAT, egeplast is presenting monitored pipe systems for the protection of critical infrastructure. The focus is on two product innovations, highlights from the egeFit® fittings range, and intelligent protective conduits for expanding energy networks—plus a prize draw and daily live presentations.
At the exhibition stand, visitors can experience monitored pipe systems and other product innovations first-hand. The focus is on the market launch of the new egeplast egeSmart:Data Pipes. This patented pipe system for water and gas supply marks a technological step forward toward the digital monitoring of pipeline networks. Grid operators and planning offices can fulfill their legal risk management obligations with this smart pipe system: risks are identified early and security of supply is sustainably supported – resilient networks thanks to digital monitoring with the egeplast egeSmart:Data.
Using an integrated fiber optic cable, the new technology enables permanent leakage monitoring of pipelines up to 16 km long with just one monitoring station. In addition, the system allows for the measurement of the medium temperature along the line as well as damage localization accurate to the meter – without the need for additional work, even for renovation measures such as the relining of old pipes or new construction under sealed surfaces. Furthermore, data and control signals can be transmitted, for example, for automated valves along the line or to a cloud.
Visitors can experience further monitored pipe systems such as the egeSmart:Integrity DCS and egeSmart:Leak Control 3L directly at the stand. Thanks to the egeFit® fittings range, customers receive everything from a single source at egeplast.
Another highlight is the newly developed egeplast Green Gas Pipes: their additional permeation barrier layer ensures a reduction in hydrogen and methane emissions.
For the expansion of energy grids, egeplast is showcasing the entire spectrum of power and energy cable protection with the egeplast Power Protect system – including demanding applications in the extra-high voltage range.
Live presentations in German and English take place twice a day directly at the stand, introducing the new egeSmart:Data Pipe and the Green Gas Pipes. No registration is required. In addition, a short competition invites visitors to participate
