Stepless dimension changes during ongoing production

The QuickSwitch system, developed by our former operations manager Herbert Ulrich, sets new global standards in production by enabling the stepless adjustment of pipe dimensions and wall thickness during ongoing production. And it does so with the highest precision. At the touch of a button, the dimensions of the extruded pipes can be changed at any time in just a few minutes. The system’s high level of flexibility ensures short delivery times and enables the cost-effective production of even small batch sizes thanks to significantly reduced downtime.

The full automation of the QuickSwitch line was carried out in close cooperation with Krauss-Maffei. The world market leader for plastics machinery is a licensee of egeplast and sells QuickSwitch extrusion lines for PE and PVC pipes worldwide.
