The new certificate from TÜV Nord confirms that the egeplast 3L safety pipe system meets all requirements of AwSV and TRwS 793-1 and 792 for use with substances hazardous to water. Thus, the 3L safety pipe system complies with the requirements of the Federal Ordinance on Installations for Handling Substances Hazardous to Water (AwSV) and the technical rules TRwS 793-1 (biogas plants) and TRwS 792 (JGS plants). The 3L safety pipe system is a permanently or discontinuously monitored pipe system that reports and locates damage – even without grid-dependent power. This monitored pipe system can be viewed and controlled online via any internet access. It offers 100 percent leak monitoring for soil and water protection and can be installed trenchlessly using black box laying methods such as directional drilling, burstlining, relining, and soil displacement.
The AwSV regulates the handling of substances hazardous to water and specifies which pipe systems must be used for such media. In § 37, the AwSV stipulates, among other things, pipe systems with leakage detection systems for substances hazardous to water. The AwSV came into force on August 1, 2017, replacing the 16 previously valid regulations for soil and water protection in the federal states (VAwS). Operators of installations such as biogas plants, plant planners, specialist companies according to WHG (Water Resources Act), and government representatives must adapt to the new legal basis.
