A new water adventure resort will delight visitors to Europa-Park in Rust (Baden-Württemberg) from late 2019. The entire rainwater volume from the roof drainage in the new water park “Rulantica” flows through a polyethylene rainwater distribution system that egeplast developed and manufactured.
TECOBA GmbH from Endingen am Kaiserstuhl was commissioned with the ground-level drainage of the roof water as part of the pipeline construction work for this project. Due to the complex routing of the water volumes, the Design Engineers specified polyethylene as the material. According to individual customer specifications, egeplast designed a custom component that collects the entire volume of roof drainage at three collection lines OD 315 mm and combines them into one main line OD 630 mm. This feeds into a reinforced concrete rainwater collector.
The custom component was positioned directly at the designated installation location using a mobile crane, inserted into the wall sleeves and aligned – in an installation time of two hours. Due to the saved installation time on the construction site through a component prefabricated at the supplier, the construction area could be made available to subsequent trades four days earlier.
