Welding Tables
The material-homogeneous pipe structure of egeplast SLM® 3.0 protective jacket pipes – core pipe made of PE 100-RC/protective jacket made of modified, weldable polyethylene PEplus – enables the pipes to be joined using the heated tool butt welding process, WITHOUT removing the protective jacket in the welding area.
The basis for processing/producing the heated tool butt welding joint without jacket stripping are the requirements of DVS Guideline 2207-1. The suitability of the joint by means of heated tool butt welding without jacket stripping has been tested and proven by independent testing institutes.
Due to the enlarged pipe cross-section during welding, egeplast recommends adjusting the DVS welding parameters, especially the joining pressures, for a guideline-compliant weld.
