Welding tables for butt welding without jacket removal

The homogeneous material composition of egeplast SLM 3.0 protective jacket pipes – with a PE 100-RC core pipe and a protective jacket made of modified, weldable PEplus polyethylene – allows for the pipes to be joined using the butt fusion welding process, WITHOUT removing the protective jacket in the welding area.

The processing and production of heated tool butt welding connections without jacket removal are based on the specifications of DVS Guideline 2207-1. The suitability of this connection method has been tested and verified by independent testing institutes.

Due to the enlarged pipe cross-section during welding, egeplast recommends adjusting the DVS welding parameters, particularly the joining pressures, to ensure standard-compliant welding.
