In December 2024, the Allgemeine Bauzeitung reported about the egeNextGen programme:
With a new programme for high potentials, egeplast supports the professional development of future specialists and managers. Two young highpotentials describe their experiences and the ways in which they have been able to benefit from being able to gain practical experience with assuming responsibilities in the context of strategic projects in an international company as well as from trainings and insights gained in strategic meetings.
„It is very exciting to see the perspective of Management of the various processes and events in the company. Also, it is a lot of fun to attend events such as strategy meetings and to also become involved.”
Anna Junkers
To help design the infrastructure of the future, egeplast as an employer strives to create an environment in which employees can continue to develop and fully unfold their potential – knowing that a company’s success depends greatly on a partnership between the staff and the management level. Thus, egeplast offers committed young talents an in-depth opportunity to focus on their own development in the framework of the egeNextGen programme over a twelve-months period and to prepare themselves for future tasks as experts or in management roles.
The egeNextGen programme exceeds pure skill enhancement and follows a comprehensive approach: It combines handson learning with strategic insights made possible by close cooperation with Management. One of the central elements of this programme is the participants functioning as assistants to Management. In this role, they assume responsibility in strategic projects, prepare important deadlines and participate in dedicated vocational training measures. Close cooperation with the management level creates the possibility to observe business processes from a higher perspective and allows them to obtain solid learning related to planning and implementing strategic initiatives.
The further development within the programme also consists in targeted trainings in areas such as management skills, technical skills and resilience. Exchanges with the international production sites and active involvement in strategically important projects help the participants to continuously expand their knowledge and skills.
