Broadband Expansion in Europe with Customised egeplast Solutions

The expansion of the fibre optic network in Europe is progressing at different speeds in the respective countries. Whereas in Northern Europe, the fibre optic network expansion is almost complete, many measures of this kind are still waiting to be finalised in Central and Southern Europe.

The pandemic has boosted the demand for bandwidth even more. Home offices, home schooling and other internet-based applications have brought the existing networks to their limits. Whereas in Germany, the expansion measures, not least driven by state broadband funding, are largely standardized. In many other countries, flexible and customised solutions are what is required owing to a wide array of network concepts, building conditions and installation methods.

Our partners in Denmark and Austria about the most recent successes:

Claus Rønne (CEO of Hans Følsgaard A/S):

“With egeplast, we managed to find the perfect partner who would complete our product range. Their high quality standards for pipes and accessories as well as their technical support are an ideal complement to our portfolio. As a full-service provider, HF has become significantly more attractive for its customers and able to supply major network operators with whatever components they require for their passive infrastructure. This fact enabled us to, in addition to handling individual projects, to be awarded a multi-year contract with our customer, Fibia, for whom we developed products jointly with the customer and according to the customer’s specifications. It is exactly this kind of co-operation which reflects Hans Følsgaard’s objective to position himself as a customer consultant and technical partner on the market.”

Thomas Sulzer (CEO Sales of Fionis GmbH):

As a systems integrator in the field of fibre optics technology in Austria and South Tyrole, Fionis GmbH has been a supplier of egeplast products since 2010. For us as a manufacturer and supplier of simple and multiple pipes including the associated accessories, egeplast completes our product portfolio and enables us to offer a comprehensive product range related to FttX-realisation. In recent years, flexible and speedy adaptation of the products to any changes regarding the market situation and solution-oriented implementation of customer requirements related to pipes has led to many satisfied customers in Austria and South Tyrole. Fast delivery of the high-quality resistant products is what resulted in our 10 years of partnership with egeplast”.
