Close-fit lining in sensitive water protection area and beneath valuable trees

In the current issue of energie | wasser-praxis, Markus Warmuth-Baron (Mennicke Rohrbau GmbH) and Klaus Hilchenbach (egeplast international GmbH) report about the rehabilitation of well pipework using the environmentally friendly close-fit lining.  In February 2013 the local authority of Bodenwöhr in Oberpfalz renovated a well pipe in the water protection zone using the egeliner.

The public utilities company Nordhorner Versorgungsbetriebe renovated a DN 300 PVC drinking water pipeline which ran beneath a cycle path bordered by 100 year-old trees.  The pipe was likewise rehabilitated with the egeliner using trenchless installation.  The insertion lengths and head access holes were oriented towards the root system of the trees.  Markus Warmuth-Baron and Klaus Hilchenbach introduce this construction project in the latest issue of bbr.
